A Twisted Place sets the task of getting out of a nightmare place full of unimaginable threats. A single narrative develops for several chapters, switching between a 2.5D-view from the side and the perspective of the first person. Such a change in angles emphasizes the surrealism of the environment and its demonic inhabitants. The basis of the gameplay is a continuous struggle with otherworldly dangers in the gloomy atmosphere, and the main goal is to find the way out.

Survival in A Twisted Place depends entirely on the ability to avoid supernatural creatures that are continuously hunting for a player. A direct collision is impossible, the only way out is to run and hide so as not to get caught by the pursuers. The environment itself becomes the main means of protection. Gamer can hide in cabinets, climb under the bed or bend over the wreckage, tearing visual contact and waiting for danger.

To promote the plot, it is necessary to methodically examine the locations and interact with objects. The solution of puzzles and further passage of this game requires to search each room, box and a secret angle in search of tools and important information.
