The project is a third-person shooter, the events of which take place in the Alien universe. Events take place 23 years after the end of the original trilogy. The story centers on Marines holding back the onslaught of bloodthirsty xenomorphs on the space shuttle Endeavor.

Multiplayer allows you to fight as one of five unique heroes: shooter, destroyer, technician, medic and scout. There is not only the possibility of free online play, but also a single playthrough. There are 4 unique campaigns available in Aliens: Fireteam Elite. Each one has 3 missions to complete. The team consists of 3 people. If you play alone, then the role of partners is played by artificial intelligence. You can choose from 5 difficulty levels. Before the start of the battle, you can customize your character. A wide range of settings is provided.

The gameplay places special emphasis on upgrading weapons and abilities. A total of 70 types of improvements are available for research. Heroes fight using 30 types of guns. The gameplay is inspired by Left 4 Dead, borrowing some features and mechanics from the iconic zombie action game. Fighters will face 20 types of enemies and 11 unique xenomorphs. Both the face-grabbers and the praetorians will have to engage in combat. Each monster has special attack patterns, so it is necessary to look for an individual approach to each enemy.
