Game Description
Attack at Dawn North Africa is a military-strategic project that takes participants into the conditions of the North African campaign during the Second World War. Players will lead the Axis or Allied forces, taking command of battalions, divisions and air forces across the vast expanses of Libya and Egypt. Set across a vast map stretching from the Gulf of Sirte to the Suez Canal, the action spans the period 1940 to 1943. Commanders are faced with the challenge of planning operations wisely, taking into account the desert landscape, including mountains and wadis, as well as the need to ensure uninterrupted supply lines along the key Via Balbia road.
The central element of the mechanic is the control of troops in turn-based WeGo mode or in real time, which conveys the chaos and speed of mobile warfare in the desert. The project offers both historical campaigns, recreated based on archival data on the composition of armies and the course of battles, and hypothetical scenarios. The gameplay of Attack at Dawn: North Africa places a special emphasis on realism: the combat effectiveness of units, the fog of war and logistics play a decisive role in the outcome of the confrontation.
Users have access to an editor that allows them to create their own missions throughout the huge map, which significantly expands the possibilities for replay. Players have a variety of troop types at their disposal, from infantry and tank units to artillery and aviation, which must be combined to achieve a tactical advantage. Resource management and timely resupply become as important as the battles themselves, as cut supply lines can lead to catastrophic consequences for the entire army.
