Game Description
Bad Dream: Afterlife is a immersion in a surreal nightmare where the protagonist finds himself completely alone. The entire city was abandoned by the inhabitants, who left behind only ominous messages on the walls, from which it becomes clear that the reason for their flight was the hero himself. Drawn in a minimalist, sketch-like style, this world is filled with strange creatures and an oppressive atmosphere. Only a few old people and the sick remained in the empty houses, but they diligently avoid any contact.
The main mechanics of advancement is solving puzzles, the logic of which is surprising in its non-standard nature, but at the same time remains consistent. While exploring locations, the gamer collects objects and pieces of information, trying to unravel the mystery of universal hatred towards himself. The narrative in Bad Dream: Afterlife is built non-linearly, which allows you to independently put together a picture of what is happening from disparate parts. Interaction with the environment is implemented through a classic point-and-click interface, and the original soundtrack enhances the feeling of anxiety and isolation.
Traveling through this dark dream forces you to constantly question your own identity and motives. The project doesn’t provide direct answers, instead offering a deeply personal experience of loneliness and redemption. Each discovery only gives rise to new mysteries, and the atmosphere of hopelessness is maintained throughout the entire adventure. The goal is not just to find a way out, but to understand why this nightmare world so violently rejects the main character.
