Barony is a first-person action roguelike that can be played online with a friend or alone. Weapons and equipment are unlocked as you progress. Dungeons and labyrinths are filled with various enemies, including ferocious monsters. Dungeons are randomly generated. Network play is characterized by an increased degree of complexity, adapting to the capabilities of several heroes at once.

The possibility of free online play allows you to go on an adventure with up to four people. Heroes fight with a variety of weapons, including melee and ranged weapons, and also use spells. The gameplay is distinguished by its hardcore difficulty. There is a death counter that records players' achievements by comparing them to other adventurers from around the world.
