Game Description

Battletoads allows you to play online for free with a friend, teaming up on a pirate for one device or online online. The gameplay is made in the style of beat-em-up, and the plot directly continues the classic parts of Battletoads, released back in the 90s. The visual style has undergone significant changes and is made in a cartoon style. This is the first game in the franchise since Battletoads Arcade in 1994.

The possibility of free online play involves co-op play for up to three people, allowing each participant to take on the role of one of the fighting toads, be it Rush, Pimple and Zitz. Each character has its own unique color, personality, voice, and fighting style. Features a single player campaign, challenge mode and online play. A special feature of the Battletoads gameplay is an obstacle course, reminiscent of the famous hardcore Turbotunnel from the first part. Sometimes the camera goes over the shoulders of the main characters. Many elements are carried over from the original, including increased difficulty, the Game Over screen and many different references.

The action takes place 26 years after the end of the previous part. The toads find themselves in a fantasy simulation. They discover that they have become unknown and no longer have the status of intergalactic heroes. To get out of this situation, they decide to fight the Dark Queen again. However, the villainess becomes good, plus she is kidnapped by the Topians - an evil race of aliens. So they team up with the queen to fight the invaders together.
