Buccaneers Shipshape is a sideling-sling beat ‘em up, where players pursue the goal of returning the stolen vessel and its treasure map. The gameplay is focused on battles with enemy looters and obtaining objects from civilians. The characters call on manual parrots to help during collisions. This arcade action develops through a series of levels and supports a local cooperative up to 4 participants on one system. The basis is a slasher with sword battles as central mechanics.

The choice of four charismatic pirates with unique abilities. Nine diverse stages with a dynamic environment and dangers. Dynamic battles and the possibility of joint passage for four people. The presence of a classic regime recreating the Arcad of 1989.

Here, gamers choose 4 pirate heroes from the list: Simon, Coral, a portion and Aldemara with a hook instead of a hand. Each character has unique speed indicators, attacks and special skills. The campaign consists of 9 stages containing unique dangers and a dynamic environment, including slippery roofs, underwater locations and horse -drawn trips.

In these zones, chests store the strengthening and types of weapons like pistols or whips used against antagonists. The combat system requires constant involvement, since opponents quickly recover after falling. Special attacks and support for companions use a short reload time, allowing their frequent use in battle. The battles with the bosses were made fleeting. The game provides two different endings, depending on progress.
