Gameplay in Carnival is built on a study of locations in Point-And-Click format and extensive conversations. It is necessary to move to various Venetian places, interacting with non -game characters. The development of relations through dialogs is a key mechanics, because the choice made during these meetings directly affects the development of events. Such a solution system directs the story to one of several available finals. Meynard’s personal struggle with narcolence also affects the impressions of the game, affecting his memory and perception of reality.
The narrative combines Folk-Corror with psychological and political elements for one player.
