City Tales - Medieval Era is devoted to the construction and development of settlements in the Middle Ages. The player controls the expansion of territories, creating residential areas, roads and public places. Instead of a predetermined net of streets, the path is determined by the actions of residents - it is they who form routes connecting various objects. The layout is not fixed: the areas are adjusted to real needs, and the structure of the city depends on the decisions made in the course of the process.
In the Universe City Tales - Medieval Era there are 9 satellites with their own stories and functions. Their participation affects the development of areas, the economy and the general dynamics of the city. These characters perform tasks, participate in production and are able to transfer skills to others. Each of them is attached to a certain role, and as the abilities grow, additional opportunities are revealed. Their participation in the life of the city does not come down to the background - they become part of the entire game architecture.
The economy requires accurate calculation and quick response. It is necessary to monitor the flows of resources, maintain a balance between construction and the needs of the population. The decisions made by the gamer determine the direction of growth and stability of the system. The mechanics unfold in real time, while not setting stiff conditions - the pace is determined by the internal logic of what is happening. The project allows you to build a settlement not according to the template, but as a living organism. Graduates gradually appear, buildings are combined into functional clusters, and streets are born where people most often pass. Taverns, churches and other points of attraction affect the behavior of residents.
