Commandos: Origins depicts the origin of a specialized military group of the Second World War. This part of the series returns gamers to the origins of tactics in real time. The narrative covers the period when Jack O’Hara, Green Beres, met his five comrades, forming a detachment, which was entrusted with tasks that were considered too dangerous for ordinary forces.
Players have to lead this detachment in the Title Commandos: Origins, coordinating the actions of the green beret, sapper, sniper, driver, marine and spy. Success depends on the coordinated use of the unique skills of each member of the group. The performance of tasks requires careful planning, combinations of secretive movement with a direct collision methods, using the specific capabilities of the team against enemy objects.
Operations cover several theaters of military operations of the Second World War, including Arctic regions, African deserts and European fronts from west to east. The role of the player is to lead the commandos through tasks against the Nazi occupation forces. The gameplay includes penetration of enemy positions, fulfilling the goals, and then inconspicuous departure from the operation zone.
The environment offers various ways to achieve the result; Fighters can steal, climb on buildings, drive vehicles or use camouflage tactics. The management scheme facilitates the leadership of the operatives to perform planned maneuvers. This tactical game offers more than 10 missions in locations based on a historical conflict, including basic and secondary instructions, and supports a cooperative regime for 2 people through an online connection or local divided screen.
