Game Description

CrossOver: Roll For Initiative is an exciting online game that you can play for free with a friend. Played online online, it combines match-3 puzzle elements and tower defense strategy in a fun tabletop RPG adventure. Even on Pirate, players can enjoy protecting their characters from an onslaught of pixelated enemies by combining dice in the tray to enhance their attacks. The action takes place on a virtual shelf of campaign books, each offering unique challenges and environments.

The story begins in an 80s bedroom when a mysterious energy causes dark portals to appear, releasing pixelated creatures into our world. Players will progress through the stages of each campaign book, fighting enemies and leveling up their character. The game has over 100 levels covering fantasy and science fiction, as well as additional game modes.

CrossOver’s gameplay mashup creates an eccentric challenge by combining elements of casual genres with action, strategy and RPG mechanics. The game features shops for purchasing armor and items, an RPG progression system, and a variety of spells and weapons. Players can hire mercenaries and encounter random events, the selection of which is reminiscent of combat fantasy books.

The game includes both fantasy and sci-fi modules, each containing seven campaign books with multiple stages. The game supports local co-op play and remote co-op play, allowing for unique asymmetrical gameplay where one player controls the dice and the other controls the attacks. For those looking for a constant challenge, there are procedurally generated endless modes and online leaderboards.

Additional content includes online co-op scenarios, Dice Defense mode with dice tower auto-battle, an unlockable art gallery and a hidden mini-game. Players can change the difficulty settings to reduce the damage dealt by the enemy and have a more relaxed experience if desired. This flexibility allows players to adjust the pace of the game to suit their preferences without compromising the core gameplay elements.
