Crysis 2 - Maximum Edition is a futuristic first-person shooter that allows you to play online with a friend. Pirates has a free co-op option. It is also possible to compete with each other online on the Internet. Network play allows you to use the Nanosuit’s abilities in battle, be it strength, protection, invisibility, etc. Crysis 2 - Maximum Edition includes the possibility of free online play, contains 4 unique bonuses, a new type of camouflage and weapon coloring. Gun modifiers and a special platinum token representing rank are available.

The multiplayer mode includes two add-ons: Retaliation and Decimation. You can fight on 9 bonus maps. There are 2 new weapons available: FY71 Assault Rifle and M18 Smoke Grenade. PvP battles take place between the US Marine Corps and the Private Military Company CELL. Each faction has a nanosuit at its disposal. All modules have three levels of pumping. Almost all maps were added from the single player campaign.

The so-called exams are presented. They represent various tasks of different types of complexity. Completing them gives you experience points or upgrades for weapons. The maximum development level is 50. A prestige system is available. Players who have reached level 50 can reload the suit by starting leveling up from the first level. However, in this case, fighters receive a special plate, additional camouflage and 1 token.

In the sequel, Nanoxotum was upgraded to version 2.0. Its appearance has changed and its operating modes have been added. For example, in addition to the usual parameters of defense, attack and invisibility, the armor also has functions such as Tactical Visor and Nanovisor, which help in battle. They significantly expand gameplay mechanics and capabilities. The storyline is also dedicated to the struggle of earthlings with aliens. At the center of the conflict are the United States and North Korea, which are under attack by alien invaders represented by cephalopods and cephams.
