Crysis can be played online with a friend or with random players from around the world, competing in various online multiplayer modes online or locally. The gameplay is a first-person shooter that offers you to take control of a Delta Force special forces fighter. Single player campaign and online play available.

Multiplayer supports battles for up to 32 players. The ability to play Crisis for free online allows you to fight in two modes: Instant Action (standard deathmatch) and Power Struggle (struggle for power). You have to take control of one of the warring parties in order to destroy the opponent’s headquarters. In deathmatch mode, you can fight on four maps: Armada, Outpost, Quarry and Steel Mill. The struggle for power is represented by 5 locations: Beach (Coast), Mesa (Table Mountains), Plantation (Plantation), Refinery (Refinery) and Shore (Shore).

The plot of Crysis tells about a hero named Jake Danna with the call sign Nomad. He battles the Chinese military and aliens on a remote island. Futuristic weapons and nanosuit are available with different capabilities: protection, strength, speed and camouflage. Health is replenished automatically using a combat suit. You can get behind the wheel of jeeps, tanks and various marine vehicles. It is also possible to control several aircraft.

The campaign consists of 11 levels, which are represented by the chapters: Contact, Restoration, Relic, Assault, Offensive, Awakening, Core, Paradise Lost, Exodus, Rise and Result. There are three difficulty modes to choose from: easy, medium and hard. Locations are distinguished by interactivity, which allows you to destroy surrounding objects. Some missions feature stealth mechanics. If the hero is noticed, the enemies will raise the alarm. Weapons can be customized using optical sights, under-barrel grenade launchers, silencers, tactical flashlights and other modifications.
