Death end re;Quest: Code Z sends Sayaka Hiwatari into the Voltage Area, a parallel universe made up of deadly dungeons. These locations contain randomly generated monsters and traps that react to her actions. For every movement of the player character, hostile creatures respond with their own move to move or attack. Sayaka finds herself confronted with growing chaos, where the line between friend and foe is blurred, ushering in a new phase of conflict.

The player’s actions can trigger dozens of brutal endings known as Death Endings. Certain conditions lead to a particularly brutal ending - the Double Death Ending, an event accompanied by gruesome art depicting the death of characters. The main challenge in each dungeon is a powerful boss at the lowest level. This game sets the task after defeating him to save his companion and try to get out of the Voltage Area along with his newfound companion.
