Diablo 2: Lord of Destruction (Median XL) is a global modification for Diablo 2, in which you can play for free on a pirate with a friend online, fighting in co-op against hordes of monsters. Local play and online battles are available. Diablo 2: Lord of Destruction Enhanced Edition introduces a ton of new content. Added 2 playable characters: Assassin and Druid. Each has 30 unique skills.

The fifth city of Harrogath is introduced, where you can meet such NPCs as Anya, Deckard Cain, Larzuk, Malach, Nihlathak, Kual-Kek and Archangel Tyrael. Bosses and monsters have been added, as well as various talismans and jewels. The list of armor, magic items, etc. has been updated. Equipment is now divided into exceptional and elite. There are two slots for weapons and improved network play. The chest size has increased. Heroes can learn various recipes for the Horadric Cube. The Median XL mod includes: the possibility of free online play; increased gameplay dynamics due to killer mass skills; a redesigned class and leveling system; updated item characteristics; the location of mobs has been corrected and new enemies have been added to locations; more aggressive enemies that fight with resists and elements; uber-locations have been introduced for pumped-up heroes; all bosses and special monsters have been made more difficult.

The plot originates in the times of the power of Order and Chaos, when these two sides came together in battle. Unfortunately, the conflict did not leave people unattended. Players will follow the path of Bhaal to reach the land of the barbarians. The villain is trying to destroy the World Stone to let in the forces of Hell. Archangel Tyrael gives the Hero a task to go to Harrogate through the portal so that he stops the monster and prevents humanity from dying.
