DOOM 3 allows pirates to play online for free, competing with a friend or other players from around the world. You can fight over the Internet online or locally. The project is a restart of the franchise. The online game includes a variety of confrontation modes. The story campaign of Doom 3 takes place in 2145. The main character finds himself in the United Aerospace Corporation (UAC) research center on Mars. As in previous parts, the protagonist is a marine who destroys demons. A feature of DOOM 3’s gameplay is its tense atmosphere, with an emphasis on suspense and horror.

You need to use a weapon and a flashlight to illuminate the dark corners of locations. Many monsters hide in the shadows and attack at unexpected times. The possibility of free online play allows you to fight in such locations from the main campaign as the Underground level of Mars City, UAC Administration, EnPro Plant, Transport Hub, Main Processor, Central Server Bases and many others. The arsenal of weapons is represented by a variety of guns, including the Pistol, Shotgun, Soul Cube, MG-88, Max-2, Max-4 and Rocket Launcher. The iconic BFG-9000 barrel and Chainsaw are available, which instantly kills demons.

Compared to previous installments, the gameplay takes a huge step towards survival horror and moves away from the usual first-person action mechanics. You have to fight against the Legion of Hell. Some enemies from previous installments have returned, including cacodemons, zombies, cyberdemons and other types of enemies. Powerful bosses are introduced that require special tactics when fighting. You can fight in close combat using your fists. The premises are narrow and claustrophobic, forcing you to enter into direct confrontation with enemies.
