The futuristic shooterEARTH DEFENSE FORCE 4.1 The Shadow of New Despair allows you to play online with a friend, free on a pirate, joining forces in order for the EDF Earth Defense Forces to repel the giant insects that have attacked humanity. Co-op mode is available online and locally. The opportunity for free online play offers you to take control of a fighter from one of four classes. Each hero has his own unique characteristics and fights using individual tactics.

The single player campaign, like the online game, consists of 80 action-packed levels. About 800 types of weapons are available. Each gun has its own characteristics. The protagonists of EARTH DEFENSE FORCE 4.1 The Shadow of New Despair fight the forces of alien Devastators. The chosen hero determines the battle tactics: infantryman, fighter with energy protection, pilot of tanks or mechs, as well as a powerful soldier in an exoskeleton. A special feature of the gameplay is an infinite number of cartridges.

Defeated enemies drop valuable loot. The choice of weapons and equipment has an impact on gameplay. Before each task you need to carefully select your equipment. Each enemy has its own unique characteristics. You have to fight in spacious locations, engaging in battle with beetles, spiders and other giant evil spirits. Special squad fighters are able to jump high and fly. Some guns are designed for paired interaction between partners.
