Earth Defense Force 6 can be played online for free with a pirate friend. In this online multiplayer game, players are immersed in a post-apocalyptic world. It’s 2027, and humanity is barely staying afloat after an alien invasion wipes out its population. You will join the ranks of EDF soldiers tasked with fighting off the remaining extraterrestrial threats. However, not everything is so gloomy - there is a glimmer of hope on the horizon.

This third-person shooter does not leave you indifferent. You’ll battle hordes of massive enemies as you fight your way through mission after mission. And there are a lot of missions here - more than in any other EDF game. Plus, you have an arsenal that would make any military man’s mouth water. The four soldier classes keep the game fresh, each with their own playstyle.

But most importantly, you don’t have to go alone. Grab up to three friends and take on the alien threat together in online co-op. It’s just an explosion, literally and figuratively. The plot was also not without twists. You will finally find out who is behind these invasions. Be warned, it may not be pretty.

EDF 6 is all about scale. It is bigger, scarier and more intense than its predecessors. Whether you’re a series veteran or a newbie, there’s something for everyone here. Just don’t expect a walk in the park - this fight for the future of the Earth will be damn exciting.
