Earth Defense Force: Insect Armageddon is an arcade third-person shooter that allows you to participate in single-player battles and multiplayer battles online over the Internet. Moreover, even on a pirated game it is possible to play online with a friend. The product is made in a sci-fi setting.

The possibility of free online play adds replayability to the project. Earth Defense Force: Insect Armageddon takes place in New Detroit. One day, alien insects attack a fictional city. They are opposed by a special squad to protect the Earth. The gameplay is based on the destruction of giant ants, huge spiders and other insect-like aliens in large quantities. To eliminate opponents, there is a fairly extensive arsenal, numbering about 300 types of weapons. You can re-run the stages to try everything out. Access to these guns is opening gradually. They also give you the opportunity to use various devices and drive military equipment.

The network game contains 2 types of entertainment. You can go through the story with two or three and in a small group (maximum of six) shoot crowds of enemies in “Survival”. The split-screen mode was cut when the title was ported from consoles to PC. The campaign consists of 15 levels. The title has 4 classes (types of armor): Trooper Armor - allows you to use almost all guns and abilities; Tactical - the owner of this suit will be able to install mines, turrets, radars; Battle - literally turns the hero into a walking tank with a powerful weapons and a strong energy shield; Jet - a garment with a built-in jetpack and reduced durability.
