Game Description
In Endless Dark you will have to serve a sleeping colony ship alone. As the Guardian, a sentient machine, your job is to keep the ship’s systems running, but you also face an eerie sense of isolation. There is no combat here, but instead you are faced with system failures, unpredictable events and the gradual destruction of your sanity. This combination of mechanical problems and mental stress creates a unique sensation. The absence of other characters reinforces the feeling that something important is missing.
In the game’s story mode, you explore a multi-layered narrative that deepens with each playthrough. There are no clear answers, and long-forgotten agreements governing the ship’s voyage remain shrouded in mystery. How you cope with revelations, some of which can break your already fragile psyche, is up to you. The choice is difficult, and not every truth will bring clarity or peace of mind.
The longer you stay on board, the more the ship’s hidden layers are revealed, challenging you to question everything you thought you knew. Endless mode offers an extra challenge for those who seek it. It’s less about plot and more about survival. You will be faced with an unpredictable array of crisis situations that require quick thinking and strategic decision-making. Every decision you make has consequences, and the pressure builds until the inevitable happens.
