The possibility of free online play includes both PvP battles and cooperative play. Players find themselves in the vast expanses of a generated galaxy, where continents are also created randomly. Participants in combat operations can trade, fight, expand empires and enter into alliances - the network game is aimed at full interaction between players. Allows you to exchange technologies, resources, relics, etc. There are only 5 resources in Endless Space 2: food, industry, dust, science and influence. The parameters of science, economics, war and infrastructure develop depending on the era.
Each faction has its own quest chain. States are built on the basis of democracy, dictatorship, republic and federation. Within the powers there are 6 political parties: pacifists, scientists, industrialists, environmentalists, military and theocrats. Heroes are available, divided into classes: seeker, guardian, overseer and advisor. Protagonists can lead a fleet or command the Senate. Matches start with a cold war between the participants, where each faction becomes partners or opponents. Fights take place in the vastness of space and on the surface of planets. Mechanics vary greatly depending on the battlefield.
