Each faction has fighters represented by 5 classes. Depending on the choice of fighter, the style of play and battle tactics change. Each character in Enemy Territory: Quake Wars not only fights with an individual weapon, but also performs a unique function: fighting his way forward, healing teammates, setting up turrets, laying mines, etc. The online game is aimed at confronting two races, where fighters fight with explosives, machine guns, shotguns, machine guns, grenade launchers and many other types of guns.

The essence of the confrontation comes down to the destruction or protection of the main goals. In some modes there is a timer. Often the parties switch tasks and alternate between attacking and defending.
