Envelope is an immersion into a surreal world where a routine night shift turns into a series of strange and sinister events. The initially linear narrative gives way to the exploration of a small open location filled with eccentric characters and hidden possibilities. The fate of the protagonist, an unhappy soul tired of his job and an oppressive boss, turns out to be intertwined with something much larger than one could imagine. The outcome of the entire story depends on the decisions made in this bizarre world.
The gameplay is based on complete freedom of choice. You can follow the instructions from the mysterious letter, meet with the contact at the REBA50 supermarket to get weapons and master keys, or you can ignore the instructions and go in search of alternative paths. The environment in Envelope constantly reacts to the actions of the hero, and the consequences of decisions made irreversibly change the world, opening up new tools and opportunities during subsequent playthroughs. Each playthrough is a unique experience, where the items collected and the tactics chosen directly affect the paths available.
Before going on the final mission to the estate of a certain Mystashur, you need to carefully prepare, since there will be no turning back. The arsenal and equipment collected while exploring the world determine which of the many ways this psychological adventure will end. The retro-inspired visual style and dark, almost frenetic atmosphere create a tense sense of constant mystery hidden behind a façade of mundanity.
