Game Description
In Fear Effect, a trio of mercenaries - Hana, Glas and Dick - take on the risky task of finding Wi Ming Lam, the heiress of the powerful head of the Hong Kong Triad, who mysteriously disappeared on the eve of her 18th birthday. Driven by a thirst for profit, they plan to demand a substantial ransom from her influential father for the girl’s return. However, what began as a cynical criminal extortion operation quickly turns into a desperate fight for its own existence.
The mercenaries face forces that do not obey the laws of the underworld, and their mission to get rich becomes a living nightmare. Gameplay Fear Effect is a third-person shooter that takes between 7 and 9 hours to complete. The key feature of the project is the use of three-dimensional character models against the background of pre-rendered video locations, which creates a unique cinematic effect. Gamers will have to fight their way through hordes of enemies and fight powerful bosses using the entire available arsenal.
In this title, every action matters, since the plot is nonlinear, and decisions depend on which of the heroes will be able to survive a series of deadly trials and reach the end. The events of this action film take place in the dark neon labyrinths of dystopian Hong Kong, where the mercenaries' selfish plans fail. The simple pursuit of money gives way to a desperate struggle for life, when entities from ancient myths and otherworldly horrors that go beyond human understanding stand in their way. The story focuses on the transformation of hardened operatives who must not only adapt their combat tactics, but also confront their own fears.
