Scientific research helps obtain blueprints for new nuclear technologies, improve intelligence and defense systems. Free online play in First Strike: Classic allows you to trade or sign alliances. Russia, China, the States or North Korea have both their advantages and disadvantages.

You can develop 12 unique missiles, including the Trident or the Tsar. Ballistic projectiles can be developed. A 3D globe is available, which is a global map. Alliances are concluded through Non-Aggression Treaties. There is a system for changing weather conditions, the weather changes and many other factors affecting the gameplay. Multiplayer sessions last for half an hour or up to an hour in real time.
