FlatOut 2 modes: career - a set of various tests where you need to drive several laps, receiving cups and achievements; single race - random competitions in which you can compete with a friend; races - single or double races on tracks consisting of 6 laps; tricks - you can release the driver through the windshield, driving him into a goal, knocking down pins or using him as a dart in darts; derby - you need to ram with the participants, trying to survive in a mass carnage.

Damage is divided into categories ranging from one star to five: Push, Impact, Ram, Eject and Shatter. Depending on the damage, the car loses speed. In this case, it may happen that the transport completely fails. Flatout 2 puts an emphasis on the arcade feel, and the free online play option aims to increase the dynamics, conveying the spirit of competition.

With a greater emphasis on entertainment, Derby and Stunt events have become more extensive and varied. Racing is divided into four subtypes, including sports competitions and street races.
