God of War: Ragnarok continues the story of Kratos and Atreus as they explore a world inspired by Norse mythology. Events take place in ancient Norway. The main character of God of War: Ragnarok himself still uses the magic ax Leviathan as his main weapon. The ax has the properties of a boomerang, so it can be thrown at the enemy. The protagonist has several types of attacks. By combining them, the hero carries out various powerful or special attacks. You need to find your own individual approach to each opponent. There are bosses in the form of huge colossi.

The heroes must overcome a harsh three-year winter called Fimbulwinter. During the adventure, the protagonists will meet the Jotun Angrboda and many other mythical gods. By defeating enemies, Kratos becomes stronger. You need to use the experience you collect to buy upgrades. The level increases due to armor and equipment. You also need to buy abilities and attacks that allow you to carry out devastating combos. Kratos can block, roll, grab an enemy, and go berserk. The levels feature metroidvania elements and verticality. There are elements of parkour.
