On the pirate GUILTY GEAR Xrd REV 2 you can play online with a friend for free, fighting locally on one screen or online online. The free online play option offers you to choose from 25 characters with their own abilities and unique backstories. Both new fighters are available, such as Johnny, Kuradoberi Jam, Kum Hachen, Raven, Dizi, Beiken, Ansver, and classic heroes who appeared in previous parts: Axel, I-no, Millia Rage, Slayer, Testament and many others. A step-by-step training system is presented, with the help of which beginners can easily master the character’s move sheet.

Each character has several types of attacks: punch (Punch), kick (Kick), swing with a weapon (Slash) and a strong blow with a weapon (Heavy Slash). There are also special attacks Dust and Taut, which deal enormous damage. Enemy attacks can be blocked. There is a Stylish Mode, based on battles exclusively using special attacks, Combo Mode offers to reveal the full combo potential of a particular fighter. GUILTY GEAR Xrd REV 2 also features online play and a story mode, which reveals the biographies of the characters, tells the entire plot of the series, and much more. Multiplayer battles include both simple duel battles and ranked matches. In the first case, statistics are not taken into account, and the second mode is represented by a leaderboard showing the achievements of players from all over the world.
