Each participant takes on the role of a flotilla captain and places their ships on the map in random order. The task is to aim missiles at enemy ships and sink the entire enemy fleet. The opportunity for free online play offers you to test your strength in two modes: classic sea battle and Commander mode.

The gameplay is based on the fact that each player sets the coordinates of a salvo of missiles and tries to guess the location of his opponent’s ships. The moves are made alternately. If you manage to hit the vessel, you can fire another salvo. There are 6 commanders to choose from. Each hero is represented by unique skills that greatly influence the strategy of the fight. For example, Schmidt’s cruisers can fire homing missiles, Regina Marina has a long range, Ferrara’s bombers hit an area of ​​three squares, Astrid’s longships fire 6 random charges, Wade’s frigates pursue the enemy, and Eurylius’s fleet fires a salvo 1 square ahead and 6 random shots.

There are 7 arenas available around the world: the coast of Montevideo, the frozen Baltic Sea, Fort Manuella on the Thames, the narrow Strait of Gibraltar, the white cliffs of Dover, the sunny Fort St Angelo and the colossus of Royd Island. In Hasbros BATTLESHIP, you can earn additional medals by completing a variety of missions and challenges. For example, a medal can be obtained for 60 misses. The first player to score 1800 points wins the battles.
