In Hollowdeep, a trip to the world of dark fantasy with a first -person view begins. The gameplay is focused on the study of medieval dungeons inhabited by demons and undead. Battles require a quick reaction from the gamer and the exact calculation of time. The key element of the battles is the mechanics of the parry, which serves as the main protective and attacking tool. Survival often depends on the masterful possession of this technique in the fight against numerous threats that live in an ominous environment.
In the action of Hollowdeep, most opponents' attacks can be reflected: successful parrying discards enemies and makes them vulnerable for a reciprocal attack. This technique is also necessary to reflect flying shells - a key tactic for survival. The mechanics are closely related to witchcraft: each reflected blow restores part of mana, allowing you to use magic more often. Spells are also used outside the battles, helping in moving and interacting with the environment and offering alternative ways to solve riddles.
The game world is a large interconnected space with many secrets and secret moves. A careful study of locations is rewarded with valuable findings: new weapons, rings with unique properties and additional spells. Some discoveries directly expand the arsenal of character techniques. Such improvements not only increase the efficiency in battle, but also serve as keys that open the passage into previously inaccessible zones.
