Hotline Miami is a 2D top-down action game created by two incredibly hardworking and talented young people under the auspices of the same computer game development studio - Dennaton Games. The international release of this project took place in October 2012. The developers admitted that they took their inspiration from the Hollywood crime action films of the 80s.

The game, as the name implies, takes place in the city of Miami, in the first half of the 80s. Neon glitter and futuristic modes of transport filled the city streets. Bloodthirsty gangs of killers are operating everywhere. Players are asked to take on the role of one of these gangsters. The gameplay is a series of small tasks, each of which begins in the apartment of the main character. He wakes up, receives instructions from the coordinator over the phone, puts on a special mask, each of which will give certain bonuses, and sets off to carry out his bloody and extremely tough mission. Tasks, in 99% of all cases, represent a complete clearing of the area from people. The tandem of two developers gave the world of video entertainment a controversial and extraordinary project: an action game with a top-down view, with the possibility of stealth and tons of the maximum possible rigidity.
