The co-op adventure It Takes Two follows two central characters: Cody and May. They decided to get a divorce, which is why they found themselves in a surreal environment, turning into dolls. Now they have to go through hundreds of obstacles and dangers while exploring a new environment. A story about the eternal problems of relationships and how the main characters will reunite after overcoming a ton of obstacles on their own path.

The story about the main characters begins with how a “crack” appears in their relationship. They decided to leave, but a magical event brought them to the fairy-tale continent. Along the way, they will encounter unexpected and humorous obstacles, as well as real threats in the form of robber squirrels. The gameplay is designed for co-op play, where 2 participants control Cody and May. To overcome numerous obstacles you will need to interact with each other. During the passage, users will ride a sled on a magical snow globe, or play the role of a DJ at a dynamic party.
