Game Description
JustAxe is the adventure of a young girl named Marta, who must save her sister from the clutches of mysterious creatures that have invaded her hometown of Novy Sovetsk. Having received a mysterious letter indicating the path to salvation, the heroine arms herself with her grandfather’s ax and sets off on a dangerous journey. Her path runs through picturesque but dangerous locations: from forests and mountains to a gloomy other dimension from where the invaders came. The world, stylized as a hand-drawn cartoon, hides many puzzles and secrets.
The gameplay is based on solving riddles, which requires active interaction with the environment. For example, by cutting down certain trees, you can create bridges or remove obstacles. As you progress through JustAxe, the heroine’s arsenal is replenished with new tools, such as a whip, which allows you to cling to ledges and overcome chasms. The combat system is simple: Martha uses her ax to attack a variety of enemies who, while not particularly complex, can pose a threat in large numbers.

The plot is presented through dialogues and cut scenes, revealing the secrets of the invasion and the motives of the antagonists. Despite the dramatic premise, the narrative is filled with funny moments and dialogues, and the ending of the story promises to be unexpected.
