You can not only give commands to your charges, watching what is happening from above, but also directly guide the hero, taking an active part in the battle. At such moments, the title turns into a shooter.

Maelstrom: The Battle for Earth Begins takes place on Future Earth. After the fall of the Obsidian meteorite, various disasters began - from flooded cities to environmental problems. Humanity, on the verge of extinction, divided into two groups and began to fight among themselves. Soon, alien invaders arrived on the planet and also took part in the conflict. The plot is presented through cut scenes on the engine. There are several single player campaigns that open sequentially. The possibility of free online play allows you to fight with live opponents, not bots. The online game, like the single game, offers to fight for one of 3 factions: The Corporation is a totalitarian organization headed by Arlan Khan, which relies on the brute force of infantry and equipment that can transform; Remnants - partisans commanded by James Buchanan, offer rich an assortment of fast units and stealth tactics; High-Jenti aliens led by Mammon, creating fighters from cocoons, able to regenerate and using only biotechnology.
