Game Description

Marisa of Liartop Mountain begins with Reimu’s search for her missing friend, a quest that leads the heroine to a mysterious book. This book serves as a portal into a literary world inhabited by strange inhabitants. Inside, Reimu encounters a devastated version of Marisa, openly questioning her own identity and purpose. The main task is to go through this symbolic landscape, a mountain of lies reflecting the friend’s internal conflict, in order to reveal the truth and help her return.

Journey through the pages of a book in Marisa of Liartop Mountain is built on choices and dice rolls, simulating a tabletop adventure. Important decisions and the outcome of random events guide the story along branching paths that converge on several different endings. The player will have to build an inventory of dice, collecting special items with unique properties to control the probability. This collection includes dice with high values, intentionally low values, or those with identical sides, providing strategic tools to influence the outcome of key plot points.

Throughout the adventure, four other characters offer their opinions in the form of available options, offering advice that can be helpful, pointless, or even harmful. Following their recommendations can unlock powerful dice as a reward. The gameplay allows you to spend OP on re-rolls to undo unsuccessful results. OP is earned as the level increases, but this complicates the leveling of other parameters, so the player is faced with a key choice: develop the heroine’s skills through increasing characteristics or rely on luck with re-rolls.
