Game Description
Netherworld Covenant puts the player in the abyss, where the world of mortals and the underworld are intertwined after the disaster. Being surviving, the character owns the lantern of the void - an artifact connecting two dimensions. This item lights up with azure flame, making it possible to cross the procedurally created labyrinths and destroy the damned barriers. The goal is to confront the fallen heroes and demonic overlords in order to reveal the truth woven from blood and soul. In this world, the lantern serves as a channel to call the fallen.
The Netherworld Covenant combat system is emphasized on tactical actions, and not on rapid combinations of blows. The protagonist will have to use parliament, evasion and etheric jerk in order to avoid damage before performing accurate counterattacks. The key game feature is the system of spiritual satellites, which opens access to 4 ghostly allies: a swordsman, archer, guardian and robber. These called souls help, passing through obstacles for sudden attacks, creating tactical advantages or moving its owner between worlds in order to avoid a fatal blow.
The opponents are the fallen lords and the once noble knights, whose bodies are distorted by the terrible energy of souls. In breaks between sorties into dangerous lands, this game allows you to return to the border camp. Spectral allies gather in this shelter, weapons from demonic blood are created and materials for another attempt are accumulated. The truth about the cataclysm is revealed through the scraps of dialogs, but each campaign carries the risk that the name of the owner of the lantern will become another epitaph on the stone of the covenant.
