Game Description
NODE: The Last Favor of the Antarii sends an autonomous AI deep into a crumbling Soviet nuclear complex during the Cold War. A robot named NODE navigates the maze of the Tosca facility by following a sequence of commands given on a timeline. This core mechanic is used to solve puzzles and interact with the environment. Success depends on the precise planning of each step to advance through the plot and uncover the secrets hidden in a dangerous location.
The gameplay in NODE: The Last Favor of the Antarii is based on a command system that organizes the robot’s actions. Every jump, switch activation, and maneuver lines up on a timeline, allowing you to pass checkpoints and overcome dangerous obstacles. Solving puzzles involves repeated attempts and honing strategies to achieve flawless execution. The narrative in this project is also formed through branched dialogues: all conversations are tracked and remembered by the system, and every decision is logged, influencing the further development of events.
The world of this game is a 2.5D embodiment of a scientific object, combining different angles to build the environment. Exploring locations opens up access to a network of hidden challenges and secret paths beyond the main objectives. Such routes provide a deeper understanding of the history of the object and its multi-layered architecture. The design of the title encourages the player to carefully study the environment and question the obvious in order to discover information and storylines that were missed during the passage of the main plot.
