Oxide Room 208 places 8 people in an old laboratory under the control of figures named Doc. Heroes are forcibly connected to his experience Oxide - a project with an unstable carrier named Eve. Her reason could not stand it, forcing experience to give rise to an organic environment that physically deforming the whole complex. This biomechanical situation, combining the motel and laboratory, was in the past a place of terrible deeds, and now the main goal for the captives is to find the door 208 for survival.

The characters of Oxide Room 208 include an officer under the cover, cannibal with his bride, a rock musician, a half-naked man and 2 streamers. The study of the dock condemns their flesh to the injury, and the memories to change the inhabitants of the object in order to conceal its labors. Some personalities have secret motives that go beyond the scope of simple salvation, so trusting someone is risky. After death, the hero can return to the form of a renegatory - a changed version of himself, meetings with which should be avoided.

The player moves through 7 various locations: from the forest and the old mine to the underground laboratory, which has become the place of the failure of scientific experience. These areas inhabit more dozen types of hostile creatures generated by chaos, and their mind allows them to relentlessly pursue anyone who caught their eyes. The gameplay is built on the management of weapons and resources, offering a choice between a collision or search for bypass tracks. In this game, the perspective switches between the view from the first and third person, changing the perception of each moment.
