Game Description
Painkiller is a dark reimagining of the classic shooter where four characters are given a chance at redemption. Under the control of the gamer, one of the heroes, be it Ink, Void, Sol or Roch, must stop the invasion of Earth organized by the fallen angel Azazel. The journey will take them to Purgatory, where they will face hordes of demons and monstrous creatures of darkness known as the Nephilim. Using perks unique to each protagonist that affect strength and survivability, they must fight their way through the gothic landscapes of this eerie dimension.
Battles unfold at a fast pace, and to move across vast biomes, you use not only standard running, but also dashes with a grappling hook, which allows you to quickly close the distance to enemies. The Voice of the Creator has granted this unique opportunity to atone for past sins, and it can be used either alone, accompanied by bots, or in co-op mode, joining forces with two other players. The Painkiller project offers not just the extermination of monsters, but a full-fledged test, where every action brings you closer to salvation.
The arsenal for destroying opponents is represented by both weapons familiar from the original and completely new examples of infernal weapons. To enhance combat capabilities, a tarot card system has been introduced, which provides access to improved abilities and active skills. Increasing your rank also expands your available equipment, making each subsequent encounter with Azazel’s forces even more spectacular. By exploring various locations, you can discover many secrets that shed light on the events taking place in this world.
