Game Description

The fictional country of Arstotzka is a small world of the game’s protagonist, where he will check documents at customs every day. The plot of Papers, Please - a puzzle game with an unusual approach and graphics, as well as the beginning of the simulator - shows the events with the main character winning the profession of a customs officer at a checkpoint in the lottery. His task will be to check documents and apply stamps. He is given an eighth-class apartment, where he and his wife move, and after that, everyday life eats away at him.

The immigration service is responsible for checking the documents not only of Arstotzka residents who decided to leave the country, but also checking the passports of the neighboring country - Kolechia, which recently ended the war with our state, returning part of the territories. At first, we can simply put “refused” or “accepted” in the documents. As soon as spies, counter-bandits and drug dealers appear among the people passing through you, the level of the game increases. For each correctly placed seal, the player receives 5 units of game currency. At the end of the day, he decides to spend it, paying for the house, paying for food, alcohol or other needs. Over time, the gameplay becomes more difficult, since the government dictates new rules to us every day, which do not always complicate the game, and people passing by are suspicious of weight, gender, face, and other documents, such as a work pass, entry permit, storage permit smuggling.
