Game Description
Platypus Reclayed takes place as an overpopulated Collosatropolis sets its sights on neighboring Mungola for expansion. The smog-choked metropolis sends out its formidable battle fleet to seize new lands. The people of Mungola are forced to rely on the only force that can protect them. A squadron of outdated F-27 fighters becomes the last hope against the full might of the invaders, laying the groundwork for a desperate defensive campaign.
The gamer’s task in Platypus Reclayed is to pilot an F-27 and repel an attack. In a side-scrolling perspective, the aircraft battles waves of enemy ships and heavy fire throughout multiple levels. The project supports local co-op, allowing a second player to join the battle in their own aircraft. The combat system offers a variety of weapons to choose from to destroy the forces of Collosatropolis, requiring the pilot to constantly maneuver and react quickly to survive in combat.
The universe of the title and its inhabitants are made using the technique of plasticine animation, which gives the conflict a special material form. This arcade shooter forces you to survive in protracted battles in the middle of hostile 2D locations. These zones are constantly filled with a variety of enemies and dense streams of projectiles. The game has several difficulty levels that change the intensity of battles and allow you to adapt the gameplay to different playing styles.
