Prospector begins with arrival at someone else’s world, having only a set of tools at its disposal. The primary task is to collect the planet’s resources for the construction of the basis for the base. Players build structures, explore the environment, and then establish automated production lines. For construction, everything is used, from primitive materials to unknown alien substances found on the landscape.

Gradually, a simple avantopost turns into a complex object with an optimized working process. Further development in Prospector reveals the secrets of distant worlds, from ancient relics to ecosystems, unique to every celestial body. Promotion does not do without counteraction, since territorial species and hostile fauna react to the operation of their native lands. These indigenous inhabitants enter the battle, protecting their world from the invasion. For defense, laser weapons and robot companion O.P.H.E.L.I.A.
