The player is headed by an elite detachment opposing the despotistical corporation Neotech, operating the remnants of civilization. The key gameplay consists in managing specialized equipment during various tactical operations. The tasks include daring rescue sorties, collecting key resources and direct attacks on enemy bases to undermine the power of the regime and struggle for freedom of the population.

The strategic component in Reflex Unit: Strike OPS is focused on competent equipment management. Success in difficult missions depends on the balance between the speed, fire power, a fuel supply and the carrying capacity of the machine. The main plot sends the player to disrupt the ominous Neotech plans, including a dangerous drone program and final weapons. A parallel task is to clarify the fate of Clive - a relative captured by the corporation several years ago, which adds a personal motive to the conflict.

The narrative affects the action -packed topics of betrayal and unstable alliances, and decisions and combat skills determine the final fate of mankind. The basis of solitary passage is the plot campaign. In addition, the game maintains a multiplayer mode for both joint tasks and direct PVP-transfers.
