Return of Obra Dinn is an incredibly challenging game that will take over your head and drive you crazy for days. The quest in the game is made in 1-bit graphics, where reflection and logic are a priority. Despite the fact that the game’s graphics are too primitive, the developer was able to make it varied, depicting many objects, capturing the lives of the heroes and giving us half-valued 50-60 hours of gameplay if we find absolutely everything. Return of the Obra Dinn is a game about a lost ship that sails into the port of the East India Company. There is not a single living person on board, the cargo is lost, the delay is recorded. What happened to the ship’s crew?

An East India Company detective comes onto the deck and must figure out everything that is happening on the deck of the ship. We have a diary in which each person’s personality is written down on two pages.

The gameplay is a simple walk around the deck and crew quarters, but it is done in the best possible way. Having found a sufficient number of objects, the inspector begins to see corpses. As we approach each of them, we begin to hear different sounds captured in the seconds before their death. After which we see the scene in which the subject died. Based on this, an assumption about a person is made. Its objects help us in full designation and definition.

No matter how strange what is happening on the screen may look, it all creates a certain atmosphere that the developer sought. This is one of the most difficult and incredible games about the detective genre, the passage of which can take from 10 to 50 hours!
