Rising Lords presents a mixture of a strategy with a card game in medieval setting. Fights are implemented using step -by -step mechanics. The player collects slaves and uses them for his personal purposes. As in any economic strategy, the gameplay is based on the collection of resources and taxes. The player is free to set the amount of duties depending on the solvency of units. It is required to set tasks and work to the peasants for the whole day.

Having built a rich city containing a first -class fortification, a strong and large army is gathering, equipped with the most advanced weapons. Over time, many subjects grow to the knights and act as a significant combat unit on the battlefield. The success of the kingdom depends on the skills of diplomacy, competent production of goods, regulation of salaries and taxes. No less important is the need to monitor the number of army and the moral spirit of detachments. To collect an invincible army, the presence of free recruits and a supply of weapons in the warehouse is required. Soldiers are divided into 7 types: militias, archers, swordsmen, crossbowkers, knights, spearmen and horseback riding. There is another type of fighters - mercenaries. For their recruitment, it is only enough to have funds in the treasury. It is necessary to participate in tactical tense fights between rich feudal lords, each of which eagers to capture as many territories as possible on a global map. Be sure to monitor the budget, since the personal army lives on a salary. Only money will cease to be paid, units can begin to desert.

The most important element of the Rising Lords gameplay are raids on neighboring cities to prevent their army from attacking your base or cutting off the opponent from the most important resources. The mechanics of the game allows the peasants to freeze hunger. There is an opportunity to misinform the enemy or perform sabotage. The system is closely tied to the moral spirit of citizens, so the psychological battle is no less important than military policy. Additional features include a flexible editor of the protagonist, with which you can configure the appearance and assign the abilities, 50 unique events and collecting cards that give tactical advantages, as well as multiplayer up to 4 players.
