Rum and Gun uses a pirate theme as its setting. The hero travels through the lands located in the Indian Ocean, fighting on land with people and monsters. He is trying to stop the captain, who has enlisted the help of evil forces. He also has to learn the secrets of the Drunken God. The plot is presented with jokes and self-irony. History is divided into acts.

This is an isometric shooter and action game with role-playing elements. Rum & Gun has blood and meat. Here you can cut the undead in half. There are 20 types of weapons available to destroy enemies. And there are 75 varieties of opponents themselves. In addition to the single-player campaign, there is a co-op mode for two. In addition, there is a map editor. Gamers can share their creativity with other players. And multiplayer allows you to run with a friend through levels that were created by other users.

Locations are not randomly generated and represent separate stages. You can return to them again for grinding and farming. The protagonist performs melee attacks using a rapier, saber and other blades. To deal damage from a distance, there are pistols, muskets, something like sniper rifles and machine guns. Also available are grenades and spider eggs. Each type of weapon affects the fighting style. Guns need to be reloaded. The arsenal can be modified with runes.
