In Shalnor Legends: Sacred Lands, the player follows the trip of the Elf of the Rinna, which goes to the title territory. Its main goal is to complete the complex task created by the goddess Illeria, in order to ultimately become the chosen champion of this deity. The sacred lands obey one special rule: the entrance to this territory is voluntary, but the exit is given only after the complete passage of the test from the goddess. This immutable condition determines the fate of everyone who steps into this domain, holding wanderers in imprisonment until the main task is fulfilled.

The world of Shaalnor Legends: Sacred Lands consists of 9 vast zones and many caves awaiting their researcher. This game encourages the study of locations, and crossing these areas, Rinna meets travelers who have passed along the same way to her. Some of these predecessors are now only detaining ghosts, while others survived and founded trading shops to improve equipment. Local inhabitants are ready to share materials and fragments of knowledge collected during their own attempts to defeat the test, which gives the key to understanding the world of Shalnor.

The task from the goddess Illeria is a multifaceted and difficult test. The game process makes the Rinna go down into the gloomy dungeons for battles with ancient bosses, solving complex puzzles and bypassing a variety of traps. To help the trip, the heroine can find spheres-artifacts, permanently increasing her characteristics, as well as create useful potions for use at a critical moment. Successful overcoming of all obstacles will not only ensure her status of the chosen one, but will also free the rest of the people sharpened in the sacred lands.
