During the passage, you can join one of the guilds: Companions, College of Winterhold, Thieves Guild, Dark Brotherhood, Imperial Legion, Stormcloaks, College of Bards, Blades, Greybeards, Dawnguard and Vampire Clan of Castle Volkihar.
