You can play the pirate SpellForce 3 Soul Harvest either alone or with a friend, organizing online battles over the Internet. You can also play online while going through the story campaign. SpellForce 3 Soul Harvest is a standalone addition to the original SpellForce 3, containing a new campaign, heroes and a lot of other content available for free. Events begin three years after the War of the Righteous. The world of Northander is on the verge of a new war.

Like the original adventure, the gameplay combines RTS and RPG elements, and also features free online play, allowing each opposing side to choose their own class and race. The campaign will introduce both old heroes and new ones. Before starting or during the passage, you can personalize the protagonists by developing different skill branches. Multiplayer features reimagined strategic hex mechanics. Flying troops appeared, designed to diversify battle tactics. There are 5 factions to choose from: humans, orcs, elves, gnomes and dark elves.

Each opposing guild has its own strengths and weaknesses, including a unique fighting style. The interface has also undergone changes and has become more player-friendly. The developers have introduced several additional game modes, diluted multiplayer battles with ranked matches, and also added a full-scale map and scenario editor as a bonus. Changes compared to the original: storyline for 20 hours; unique trees of skills and abilities; reworked mechanics for managing resources, factions and movement; the ability to replay missions; flying units and 2 new factions; redesigned and simplified interface.
