The terrain is procedurally generated. Stonehearth’s gameplay combines elements of a city-building strategy game and a god simulator. Landscapes can be changed at all levels, from terraforming to the creatures inhabiting the world. The main goal is to organize the construction and management of units. To obtain a stable income and food, it is necessary to build shelters that can protect the settlers from death. You need to be wary of raiders and wild animals. Each player writes the unique destiny of his people. The gameplay is never repeated twice, offering individual and new situations time after time.

You can build anything: a spiritual monastery, a trading city, a militant base and much more. There is a job for every person. People are divided into classes, so it is necessary to use their abilities in a specific craft in order to maximize resource production as efficiently as possible. Some jobs are designed for special units and contain conditions, so you have to take care of upgrading the skills of your fighters. A huge number of different tasks and tools for performing them are presented: hammer, chisel, shovel, etc. Some tools require the hand of a craftsman to create. To do this, it is necessary to teach little men the ability to work with stone or create a skilled carpenter from a settler.
